1. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us make the site work properly, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. Some cookies are essential for the site to function, while others help us improve your experience.
2. How We Use Cookies
Essential Cookies
These are necessary for the website to function (e.g., keeping you logged in as you navigate between pages, remembering your language preference, and ensuring security). They cannot be disabled.
Analytics Cookies
These help us understand how visitors use the site (e.g., which pages are most popular, how users navigate between pages) so we can improve the user experience. They collect anonymous, aggregated data.
3. Cookies We Use
Below is a detailed list of the cookies used on GoRefMe:
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |

| sb-*-auth-token | Authentication session management (Supabase) | Session / 7 days | Essential |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Remember your language preference | 1 year | Essential |
4. Third-Party Cookies
GoRefMe uses Supabase for authentication and data storage. Supabase may set cookies on your device to manage your session. We also use Vercel Speed Insights to collect anonymous web performance metrics (such as page load times and Core Web Vitals). This data is sent to Vercel via browser beacons and does not include personal information. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. No data is shared with third-party advertisers.
5. Legal Basis
Essential cookies are placed under our legitimate interest to provide a functional and secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). GoRefMe uses Vercel Speed Insights for anonymous performance monitoring (Core Web Vitals). This tool does not set cookies and only collects aggregated, non-personal performance data. It is operated under our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving website performance (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Should additional analytics cookies be introduced in the future, they will only be placed with your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) in compliance with the ePrivacy Directive.
6. Managing Your Cookies
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. However, please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using certain features of GoRefMe, such as logging in or saving your language preference.
7. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data, including data collected via cookies. You may also withdraw your consent to non-essential cookies at any time. For any cookie-related request, please contact us.
